Brigade towards 2012 presidential elections in Venezuela

Join Avanzada Bolivariana and the Norman Bethune
brigade towards
2012
Presidential elections in Venezuela

The October 2012 presidential elections will be an historic moment in the Venezuelan revolution between the peoples and the anti democratic opposition groups, economic groups, corporations and imperialism.

‘Avanzada Bolivariana” will organize for the elections and ‘Frente Norman Bethune’ will build on top of that for the trip after the elections. This is an unique opportunity to see first-hand an unfolding revolution that is radically transforming the lives of Venezuelans and challenging the greed, individualism, exploitation and destructiveness of global capitalism by showing that a different development paradigm is possible.

Participants will visit: social missions, communal councils, communes, production cooperatives, public health, education services, sustainable development projects, women’s and Indigenous organizations, community activists, trade unions and government representatives as well as community controlled media: TV and Radio stations.

The ‘Frente Norman Bethune’ campaign is demonstrating that the time has come to take a closer look at successful efforts for change in other parts of the world and learn from their positive experiences. Given the global socio-economic turmoil and its local effects, community groups and organizations in Toronto are building international solidarity links to find collaborative solutions to global problems.

If you or your organization are interested in joining the brigade, please send us an email to: venesolnet@gmail.com with your personal details.
